At Sikeston A Bright Life Sober House Halfway House, our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for individuals in recovery from addiction. Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide a safe, stable and supportive living environment for adult men recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. Our peer-driven sober houses are conducive for developing a personalized plan of recovery.

 BrightLife Sober Recovery Houses offers affordable, housing for those who may have come from a treatment facility or for those who wish to maintain their sobriety in a supportive environment

Criteria for Admission and Financial Responsibility

All Residents must complete an intake process with the house manager. This process ensures that you are a good candidate for our program. You will be provided with the rules and regulations of  BrightLife Sober House LLC. This process includes completing required paperwork; signing consent forms and establishing immeidiate and long recovery  goals.

To ensure a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment, all prospective clients must meet the following minimum criteria for admission:

Verification of Recovery Status

Client must provide documentation confirming active engagement in recovery. Acceptable verification includes discharge papers or referrals from:

· - A detox or inpatient facility

· - A correctional institution

· - Another certified recovery residence or program

Pre-Approval Prior to Release

Admission must be pre-approved before the client is released from their current program, facility, or institution. No walk-ins or same-day placements are accepted.

No Registered Sex Offenders

Due to safety and compliance concerns, registered sexual offenders are not eligible for residency at Brightlife Sober House.

Referral and Documentation Required

Clients must provide a written referral or documentation from a qualified agency verifying their recovery status and readiness for transitional housing.

Willingness to Comply with House Policies

Client must be ready, willing, and able to comply with all Brightlife rules, responsibilities, and policies, including maintaining a sober lifestyle and participating in peer support.

Meal Responsibility

Clients are responsible for purchasing and preparing their own meals.

Clients must provide proof of eligibility for food stamps (SNAP) or show the ability to independently purchase their food.

Physical and Mental Capacity

Clients must possess the mental and physical ability to fully participate in communal living, follow house guidelines, and maintain personal care and hygiene.

Disability Accommodations

Brightlife welcomes individuals with documented disabilities who are capable of independent living.

However, individuals currently pursuing Social Security Disability (SSDI/SSI) or SS-1 without other forms of support may not be appropriate for placement at this time.

Criminal History and Legal Status Disclosure

All clients are required to fully disclose their criminal history and current legal status as part of the intake process.

Clients on probation or parole must contact their probation/parole officer prior to admission and obtain approval.

It is the client’s responsibility to arrange contact between their P.O. and Brightlife before being considered for placement.

Financial Responsibility

Program Fees and Rent: The monthly program fee is $540, which must be paid in full prior to admittance.

Source of Income: All new applicants must verify a reliable source of income (employment, benefits, or other consistent support) before admission can be approved.

Identification Requirement: Applicants must provide a current photo for identification purposes upon acceptance.

Ongoing Financial Commitment: Residents are expected to remain current on all program fees throughout their stay. Failure to maintain financial responsibility may result in discharge from the program.
